Account Deletion & Data Removal
Delete your account in-app or start on this page. Web deletion requires account sign-in plus an email confirmation link before final deletion. Legally required transaction/accounting/security records may still be retained.
Important: app + website impact
Knowtopia uses one shared account identity across the mobile app and website. If you use both with the same sign-in, deleting your account removes access and account data for both.
Delete in the app
- Open the app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account.
- Read the warning about app + website impact and confirm deletion.
- You’ll be signed out after deletion completes.
What is deleted
- Sign-in account used by both app and website
- Account/profile records linked to that account
- Profile and learning progress/activity tied to the deleted account
What may be retained
- Server/security logs (rotating)
- Payment/order records and related billing identifiers required by tax or accounting laws
- Security and abuse-prevention logs, plus aggregated or anonymous analytics that cannot identify you
Timeframe
Deletion starts after you click the confirmation email link. We typically complete final deletion quickly, while legally required transaction/accounting/security records may be retained for required retention periods.
Verification & abuse protection
To prevent unauthorized deletion, the web flow requires account sign-in and confirmation through the email inbox of that same account.
